2. Required documents

• 1. Identity documents, in original and copy
  • - it must have a validity period both when the marriage declaration is submitted and when the marriage is concluded);
• 2. Birth certificates, in original and copy;
• 3. Medical certificates regarding the state of health
  • - prenuptial medical certificates are valid for 14 days from the date of issuance and must contain the express mention that the person can or cannot marry);

If the future spouses decide to choose the matrimonial regime of property separation or conventional community, the document concluded before the notary public must be presented together with the marriage declaration. (art. 329 NCC)
